Destination Rio was founded to provide destination management services to:

The short time window, new country, new laws created, and difficulty in renting residential accommodation due to squatters created challenges. Arrived in Rio 2 years before the Olympics. Started a new company, sought and obtained investor and work visas, brought in Russian employees, hired general counsel, real estate lawyer, and developed a unique solution of insurance/deposits to ensure landlord security from squatting under Brazilian law. Developed an on-shore payment system with taxes of all contracts in the interests of customers. Learned tax code and employment law.
